I believe there are two types of people in this world.
Person A lets their environment control them. They do not feel accountable for their own life and they are not willing to ask for help. They blame others for every disappointment in their life, and they feel powerless to control their destiny. They are not willing to engage in self-reflection or admit that they could be wrong.
Person A is a victim.
Person B understands that life is more than what happens to them. They draw strength from others and acknowledge that they need help in order to succeed. They take responsibility for their own actions. They admit fault and strive to do better, think better, and be better.
Person B is a success.
Now I hope that you read this and want to be Person B. But we all find ourselves slipping into Person A habits sometimes. Especially when things feel out of control - such as during this COVID-19 pandemic - it’s very easy to fall into victim mode and feel like the world is out to get us.
I challenge you to rise above that.
Turn your thoughts and actions to the positive. Try to be proactive instead of reactive. Find people in your life who can help you shift your mindset from a victim mentality to a success-oriented mentality.
If you’re struggling to make this change, send me a message. I would love to help.
